The Barnum Bombers beat the McGregor Mercuries by a score of 7-1 on Thursday afternoon at Barnum in this Polar League Conference match-up. This was a make-up game from a canceled game last week in Barnum.

Lauren Hultgren picked up the win Thursday with a nine strikeout performance against McGregor. Hultgren allowed only two hits in the victory while walking three Mercuries in the Polar League conference win.

The Mercuries Stacia Staska was the losing pitcher Thursday. Staska had troubles finding the strike zone; she walked 10 Bomber batters and allowed 12 hits on the afternoon. Of the seven runs she gave up on the day, six were earned runs.

The Bombers were led offensively by Karianna Duesler, who finished the game going 3-4 for the Bombers. Duesler’s day included a home run and two runs scored. She also added two stolen bases in the win. Hultgren helped her cause on the mound going 2-4 with 3 RBI’s on the afternoon.
