Esko Boys Stay Hot With Win Over Pequot Lakes

Jackson Lindquist hit for 17 points and the Esko boys basketball team notched a 59-53 win over Pequot Lakes in boys basketball on Thursday night.

The Eskomos led the game 29-22 at halftime and then managed to stave of Pequot Lakes in a tough second half of play at Esko High School.

Casey Staniger had 15 and Marc Peterson added 11 points and both also were in double figures scoring for Esko, while Nevin Greer led the Patriots with 23 points.

A huge key for Esko winning the game was their ability to get to the free throw line where they went 16-for-21 compared to 7-of-11 for Pequot Lakes.

Kory Deadrick added eight points for Esko, it was six for Jared Harms and Bobby Wright finished with a pair of points.
