Balanced Attack Leads Cromwell Girls In Win Over Two Harbors

Balanced scoring and a strong second half helped the Cromwell Cards pull away to a 49-36 win over Two Harbors in girls basketball on Thursday night.


Kayle Johnson was the only player in double figures for the Cards with 10 points, but it was an overall team effort that aided Cromwell. Scoring nine points was Allie Cahoon, both Christina Stenson and Makayleigh Cahoon each had eight points, both Brittany Johnson and Ann Colman had five points, while it was four points for Marlene Wester.


The Cards led just 20-19 at halftime, but they broke away in the second half to outscore the Agates 29-17 to take the win.


Kaley Peterson led the Agates with 10 points.
