Cloquet Boys And Girls Win At Wood City Classic

The 2011 Wood City Classic boys and girls basketball tournament opened with a win for Cloquet in both contests as Cloquet moved into Wednesday’s action undefeated. The boys defeated East Central by a score of 85-31, and the girls knocked off East Central by a score of 65-28.

The Cloquet Boys were led by Dillon Johnson who scored 19 points in the Lumberjacks win, Eric Swanson added 15 and it was Zack Peterson and Erik Swanson each chipping in with 15 in the Lumberjack win.

In the girl’s game it was Krista Schmitz who led 13 Lumberjacks with 13 points as the girls win by 37 points at home in the Wood City Classic. Carri Zedow added eight points as the Lady Jacks move into Wednesday undefeated.
