Wrenshall Wins 8th Consecutive Game

The Wrenshall Wrens secured their 8th consecutive win on Tuesday night, topping the Cromwell Cardinals 73-63.

The Wrens held the slight 40-38 lead at the half. The second half was much of the same, as the Wrens outscored the Cardinals 33-25 to secure the win.

Leading the way for the Wrens was Randy Wimmer who scored a game high 25 points. Nick Mattson added 18 in the win, while Tyler Kelley scored 14 points and Eli Krisak chipped in 10 points. Jared Kelly rounded the scoring out in the win with 6 points.

In the loss for the Cards, Micah Pocernich scored a team high 18 points. Drew Libbon and Cameron Cahoon scored 16 points and 13 points respectively. Topping the scoring off was Marcus Pocernich with 7 points, Jaden Gronner with 6 points, and Isaac Shelton with 3 points.

With the win, the Wrens improve to 12-1. They will look to extend their winning streak on January 26th when they host the Cook County Vikings (4-7). The Cardinals fall to 9-6 on the season and will face the South Ridge Panthers (6-8) on January 30th.
