CEC Falls to Stillwater

The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks dropped a nail bitter to the Stillwater Ponies on Tuesday night, falling 1-0 in regulation.

It took until the third period to decide a winner when Stillwater’s Jack Sullivan scored from a Josh Long pass at the 9 minute mark to secure the 1-0 win.

Owen Carlson stopped 16 shots in the loss for CEC, while Stillwater’s Jesse Brown blocked 27 shots in the shutout victory.

The CEC Lumberjacks are now 2-2 on the season and will be back in action on December 7th when they host Duluth Denfeld. The Ponies improved to 1-0 on the year.
