Section 7A Baseball Tournament Begins

The Section 7A baseball tournament got underway on Saturday, May 23rd as five sectional play-in games were played involving ten teams. The five winners move to the next round of play on Wednesday, May 27th at various sites across northern Minnesota.

Play-in games on Saturday
include Cotton at Floodwood, Cromwell at Barnum, Hill City at AlBrook, BETS at Cook-Orr, and Mesabi East at Little Fork-Big Falls. The winners of Saturday’s games advance to the final sixteen teams left in sectional play.

The Section 7A tournament is a single-elimination tournament until it gets down to the final four teams. The final four teams will be double elimination, with the winner advancing to the state baseball tournament in Chaska on June 11th-12th.
