Proctor Escapes Lumberjacks

The Proctor Rails traveled to Cloquet to face off with the Lumberjacks on Tuesday night, narrowly escaping with a 49-45 victory.

The Rails trailed the Lumberjacks, 26-22 in the first half but would hold Cloquet to just 19 points in the second half while scoring 27 points to secure the victory.

Bryden Urie led the way for the Rails, scoring a game high 21 points. John Pioro also found himself in double figures, scoring 11 points. Also helping the cause was Teran Lind who added 8 points, Brett Bower who chipped in 6 points, and Brody Eldien added 3 points.

In the loss for the Lumberjacks, Spencer Wehr scored a team high 13 points. Bryce Turnbull added 9 points in the loss, while Josh Bushey chipped in 8. Also scoring was Brandon Hill with 5 points, Tim Pokornowski and Tyler Moose each with 4 points, and Mitch Gerlach with 2 points.

The Rails, who are now 3-6 on the season, will be back in action when they host Hibbing on January 7th. The Lumberjacks drop to 3-5 on the year and will look to bounce back on January 5th against Virginia.
