State Volleyball Champs Crowned

The 2016 State Girls Volleyball Tournament end Saturday as three state champions were crowned.

In Class single A Mayer-Lutheran defeated Caledonia 3-0, while in Class AA Maple Lake swept Concordia Academy and in AAA Eagan won back to back state titles with a 3-1 victory over Champlin Park.

Three Northland teams all lost out in the State Volleyball tournament, with Cook County, Hermantown, and Grand Rapids all falling in the consolation round.
