Jacks Advance to Section Finals

The Cloquet Lumberjacks behind two Spencer Wehr touchdown runs defeated the North Branch Vikings 34- 13 to advance to the section 7AAAA championship on Friday against the Princeton Tigers.

Wehr’s two touchdown runs and Evan Pokornowski who started the games first score on a 3 yard touchdown run, were helped on a touchdown pass from Tim Pokornowski to Joshua Bushey, and a late score by Aahsan Maigag ensured the victory Saturday afternoon at Rol Bromberg field in Cloquet.

The win moves the Lumberjacks back into the section final for the first time in two years. The Lumberjacks improved to 6-3 with the victory.
