It wasn’t the prettiest win, but the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys tennis team will take their 4-3 victory over Cook County on Tuesday afternoon. The Jacks only won two matches outright, but they also won two other matches by default because the Vikings only field a team consisting of three singles and two doubles.

Winning outright for the Jacks was Ryan Lind at #3 singles when he defeated Justin Goldstein 0-6, 6-4, 10-5 in a super tiebreaker.

In doubles the Jacks lone win came at #1 from Ryan Kedrowski and Tanner Webster who beat Collin Berglund and Jamie Wick 6-2, 7-5.

Also on Tuesday the Jacks fell 5-2 to a good Duluth Marshall squad. The lone singles win came at #4 singles by Christian Pritchett and at #3 doubles from Ryan Willgohs and Sam Jorgenson.
