CEC Boys Win Tight 4-3 Tennis Match Over Hermantown

Cloquet-Esko-Carlton picked up an impressive win in boys tennis on Friday when they defeated a feisty Hermantown squad 4-3. CEC had lost to the Hawks earlier in the season by a 6-1 score.


The Lumberjacks notched three wins in singles and then took the match in doubles play with a win at #2 doubles from Josiah Sickler and Cameron Halfrisch, who defeated Nolan Myre and Brent Sterk 6-2, 6-4.


CEC took singles wins from Sean Kedrowski at #1, Tanner Webster at #3 and Ryan Lind at #4 singles. Kedrowski downed Jeremy Amys 6-1, 6-1, Webster beat Joel Gustafson 6-2, 6-3 and Lind beat Cody Neubarth 6-2, 6-0.


The Hawks took a win at #2 singles when Naku Aggarwal beat John Scheuer 6-4, 0-6 and 6-2.


Hermantown also nabbed wins at #1 doubles from Jesse Dyson and Travis Peterson over Ryan Kedrowski and Christian Pritchett and at #3 doubles when Brody Dammer and Sean Gibbon beat Robbie Sobczak and Ryan Willgohs.
