CEC Tennis Gets Dominating 6-1 Road Win

It was a dominating performance by the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys tennis team on Tuesday afternoon. The Jacks stunned Superior 6-1 on the road in Superior.

CEC swept all the doubles matches starting off with a 6-2, 6-4 win at #1 doubles by Ryan Kedrowski and Tanner Webster over Luke Briemon and Shawn Mattson. Ryan Lind and Ryan Willgohs kept the momentum at #2 with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout win over Derek Struss and Zach Reising. The CEC team of John Frosig and Lucas Tomhave finished the sweep in doubles at #3 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Aaron Krickerchen and Tyler Walsh.

The Jacks also picked up three wins in singles including at #2 by John Scheuer, #3 by Luke Heine and at #4 by Christian Pritchett. Scheuer won in a dog fight over Weston Morris as did Heine over Ethan Walpole and Pritchett won in straight sets over Brian Schmitt.

The lone CEC loss was at #1 singles by Sean Kedrowski in a 6-1, 6-7, 6-3 loss to Zac Erickson.
