Playing in the comfort of their home court provided plenty of adrenaline for the Hermantown boys tennis team on Friday. The Hawks won all but one match in coming away with a 6-1 victory over Cloquet-Esko-Carlton.

Singles match wins did not come easy for the Hawks, but they persevered and won all four of those events. At #1 it was a 6-4, 6-3 win for Jeremy Amys over CEC’s Sean Kedrowski. Nakul Aggarwal had to fight down to the last point but won a 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 match over John Scheuer at #2 singles. In the #3 singles match it was Joel Gustafson taking a 6-4, 6-3 win over Ryan Lind of CEC and at #4 singles Sean Gibbon fought to a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Christian Pritchett.

The lone CEC win came at #1 doubles when Tanner Webster and Ryan Kedrowski nabbed a 6-3, 6-4 win over the Hawks duo of Jesse Dyson and Travis Peterson. Hermantown bounced back at #2 doubles with a 7-6, 6-4 win by Brett Sterk and Nolan Myhre and at #3 doubles in a 6-1, 6-0 win by Brody Dammer and Jason Hammer.
