The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels were looking to keep the roll going as they head into the Section 7AA playoffs next week. The Rebels did just that as they downed the Tigers of Rush City on Monday night by
a score of 6-4.

“It was nice to get a big win on the road against a good team,” Head Coach Lyle Halverson told Northland Sports Online. “Rush City is a good team and right up there looking for a high seeding in the playoffs…Unzen and Ketchum did a great job on the mound for us.” Rudy Ketchum started the game for the Rebels and it was Michael Unzen who finished it up and he got the win for Moose Lake Willow River.

Rajean Carlson was 2-3 for the RebelS. Dan Anderson continued on with his hot bat, going 2-3 with 2 RBIs. He would also add a double and a triple in the win. Joey Bohaty came up with a big hit and played well in the field. Nate Zuk’s third home run of the season would break a 3-3 tie in the third inning.

The Rebels improve to 12-4 on the season and will host Barnum at home on Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers of Rush City fall to the same 12-4 on the season.
They will play Grantsburg, Wisconsin on Tuesday at home.

The Moose Lake–Willow River game against Barnum will be broadcasted on 106.9 WMOZ starting at 4:30 pm.
