Padres Set Records In 15-1 Win Over FDLTCC Club Team

CLOQUET, Minn. — The Duluth Padres improved to 2-0 with a non-league win over the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College club team at Braun Park in Cloquet. Duluth led just 3-0 after five complete innings, but plated three runs in the sixth inning and eight runs in the seventh inning to put the game out of reach and pick up the 15-1 win.

Anthony Bush (1-0, 0.00 ERA) threw five scoreless innings for the win. He allowed five hits and no walks with two strikeouts. Bush made the 100th pitching appearance of his amateur baseball career. Bush, 35, began playing in 1996 for the Bayside Vipers. He has made 41 appearances since 2008.

Keith Gunderson was two-for-four with two runs scored and an RBI for Duluth. The Padres tied a club record with 15 runs in a game. The club also scored 15 runs against Bayside on 7-18-07.


The Padres set a new club record by drawing 19 bases on balls, breaking the record of 16 set on 5-15-10 against Port Wing. Kyle Cotrell and Noah Hobbs each drew four bases on balls.
