Barnum Bats, Hultgren’s Pitching Equals Big Win For The Bombers

Lauren Hultgren allowed just two hits over seven innings and the Barnum Bombers rode her strong pitching to a 12-2 victory over Hinckley-Finlayson on Friday in a high school girls softball game.

While Hultgren was handling the H-F batting line-up, she was also getting plenty of help from Karianna Duesler, Jessica Newman, Emily Thomsen and Kierra Rowell. Duesler went 3-for-5 with a doubles, Newman went 3-for-5 and scored four runs, Thomsen was 3-for-5 and Rowell was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI’s.

The win improved the Bombers record to 4-1 on the season.

Hultgren finished with a two-hitter on the mound and struck out five in picking up the pitching win for Barnum.
