Duluth Denfeld took down the Proctor Rails, snapping their 14-game losing streak. The Hunters were led by Jake Herold’s three touchdowns, while Kadin Ferguson had four catches for an impressive 101 yards.

Ferguson kicked it off for Denfeld, as he hauled in a 70-yard bomb from Jake Roduner. Jake Malec would answer for Proctor, passing it 17 yards to John Aase for six.

Herold would then score two rushing touchdowns for the Hunters from the 10, and 2-yard line. Malec would then connect with Aase once again, tightening the score with a 12-yard pass.

It was Herold again, as he pounded in his third score of the night from the 1-yard line. Aase would corral a 59-yard pass from Malec yet again, but it was too little too late, as the Hunters would come out on top 27-20.

Jake Malec finished the game 9-18 for 154 yards, with Aase catching four balls for 94 yards for the Rails.

Denfeld will look to carry the momentum, as they travel to Hibbing next Friday, while the Rails will look to bounce back, hosting the Cloquet Lumberjacks.
