Barnum Falls In Nail-biter To Mesabi East

It was a game in which it was a struggle for both teams to find the end zone, seeing only one score all night. Mesabi East would rely on Alex Marfiot, as he carried the ball 25 times, totaling 154 yards on the night, and providing the lone score of the game.

The first three quarters went scoreless, until a 37-yard scamper in the fourth quarter by Marfiot put Mesabi East on top 6-0. Barnum would have a chance to answer though, but failed as they fumbled the ball at the Giant’s 20-yard line in the final minute of play to seal the deal.

The Bombers (0-3) will look for their first win of the season as they host Chisholm September 11th. Mesabi East (1-2) will try to continue their winning ways, visiting East Central on the 11^th as well.
