Virginia beats Jacks in Tennis

Cloquet boys tennis traveled up to Virginia for a big section 7A match. The Blue Devils proved to be too much on their home courts as Virginia took 3 of the 4 singles matches and the bottom of the doubles matches to win 5-2.

First singles Robby Sobczak lost to Tom Prittinen 6-3, 7-5 while second Ryan Willgohs topped Ricky Sipila 6-3, 6-3. Third and fourth went to Virginia as Jake Seitz took out Anders Pertler 6-2, 6-2 and Connor Croft took down Daniel Stevens 7-6, 7-5.

Doubles saw the Jacks top team of Christian Pritchett and Joey Gotchnik take out Darby and Grady Maloney 7-6, 6-4 before Virginia closed it out at Two and three with Josh Kieth and Peter Tomhave losing 6-3, 6-4 and Luke Tomahave and Billy Acheson losing 6-3, 6-4.
