Wilderness Miller Commits to BSU

The Minnesota Wilderness, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Aaron Miller has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Bemidji State University in the WCHA.
“This is a dream come true for me,” said Miller.  “I feel I have a great connection with their coaching staff and look forward to playing college hockey at Bemidji State.”
Miller, 19, is completing his first season of junior hockey in the NAHL. The native of Superior, Wisconsin, was named to the 2014-15 NAHL All-Rookie Team this season, as well as, the Midwest Division All-Rookie Team.
In 59 regular season games, Miller (5’10/165) registered 60 points, which was one behind the team lead. That included 21 goals, 39 assists and a +23 rating. Miller was named the NAHL Midwest Division Star of the Week back on March 23rd and finished runner-up for NAHL Forward of the Month during March.
Miller is currently tied for 2nd in the NAHL in Robertson Cup Playoffs scoring with 13 points in eight games.
“Aaron has had a tremendous first year of junior hockey.  He has been one of consistent players, who is an offensive threat every time he steps onto the ice. He has been a big part of our success and this is a well-deserved commitment to Bemidji State.  He will be a very good college hockey player,” said Wilderness head coach Corey Millen.
Prior to his arrival in the NAHL, Miller played high school hockey in Wisconsin for Superior High School, as well as, Team Wisconsin.
He is the sixth Minnesota Wilderness player this season to make an NCAA Division I commitment.
