East Tops Lumberjacks 7-3

The Cloquet Lumberjacks hosted their rivals, the Duluth East Greyhounds on Monday evening. The Greyhounds would come away with the victory, winning 7-3.

Lucas Hedin got the victory for the Greyhounds, going 6 innings, striking out 5, and only allowing 1 earned run. Hunter Roberts took the loss for the Jacks, pitching 2 innings and allowing 4 runs.

At the plate, Willem Aldrich led the way for the Hounds, going 2-4 with 2 RBIs. Nick Lundgren also went 2-4 and recorded an RBI and Nathaniel Benson went 2-5 with an RBI. For Cloquet, Gabe Sorenson went 1-3 and drove in two.

The Greyhounds improve to 3-2 on the season and will look to grab another victory on Friday, May 1st when they take on Superior. The Lumberjacks drop to 4-1 on the year and will look to bounce back against Duluth Marshall on April 28th.
