Esko Softball Continues To Impress In 3-2 Win Over Silver Bay

The Esko girls’ softball team has picked up two impressive wins in the last two days. On Tuesday, the Eskomos picked up a win over previously unbeaten Barnum and on Wednesday, it was a 3-2 win over always-tough Silver Bay.

Kelsey Saralampi has provided the muscle on the mound for the Eskomos over the last couple of days by picking up the pitching wins. Against Silver Bay, the senior left-hander quieted the normally loud bats of the Mariners by mixing in a driving fastball, a moving drop ball and a slow change up.

Erin Emanuel helped key the win for the Eskomos by belting out a double and picking up a steal against the Mariners, while Biz Huss had two hits for the Mariners.

Saralampi finished the game with a seven inning 5-hitter and she struck out 10 in picking up the victory.
