Lindquist Explodes For 39 In Esko Victory

Esko’s junior guard, Jackson Lindquist erupted for a game and season high 39 points as the Esko Eskomos took down the Agates of Two Harbors up at Two Harbors High School on Tuesday night. Lindquist led the shooting parade which featured 16 three-pointers as a team Tuesday.


Lindquist helped the Eskomos jump out to the first half 52-16 lead over the Agates, the Eskomos continued to pull away in the second half with great defense and strong shooting performances from the Eskomos. The conference win improves Esko’s conference record to 7-1 on the season.


Lindquist converted on ten three-points shots on the night, the second time in less than a week a Northland player had hit ten three-pointers in a game, Katie Myhre did it last Thursday in a victory over Moose Lake-Willow River for the Barnum Bombers.


Following Lindquist in scoring was Jake Stainbrook, who closed out with 17 points on the night. Adam Eskuri, Marc Peterson, Jared Harms, and Kory Deadrick all finished with 6 points. Brock Anderson had 4, Riley Mudek and Ben Hansen each added 3, Sean Peterson and Bobby Wright both rounded out the scoring with 2 points.


Two Harbors was led in scoring by Jesse Omtvedt with 6 points, Alex Horoshak and Trygve Lodin both added 4, Jon McDannold had 3, Caleb Hamp-Sill, Josh Ensign, Jake Iskat, Kyle Omtvedt, and Charlie Pavlisich all had 2 points in the loss.


The Eskomos improve to 15-2 on the season and they will be in action again on Friday night when they host Silver Bay in a Polar League match-up. The Agates fall to 1-17 on the season and they will play at Carlton on Friday night.
