The Esko Eskomos and the Barnum Bombers have both struggled at times this season. So when these two teams met on Tuesday, it was a battle where records
didn’t matter. It was simply a rivalry game that both teams wanted to win. The Eskomos would best the Bombers on this day, winning by a score of 9-4.

The Eskomos Dan Linder would get the win Tuesday. Linder pitched seven innings while giving up four runs, three of which were earned, on seven hits. He also struck out four in the win. Erik Johnson would take the loss for the Bombers.

“We didn’t play that bad today,” Dave Duesler, the head coach for Barnum, would tell Northland Sports Online. “We were not very sharp out there…it wasn’t terrible. We just didn’t get it going,” Duelser added.

Esko had five players
(Steve Lewis, Matt Tengesdal, Jamie Stokes, Aaron Semerau and Mitch Reuer) who had two hits each for the Eskomos. Kyle Duesler had two hits and two runs batted in for Barnum, and Erik Johnson also would add two hits in the Bomber loss.

Esko raises its record to 8-7 on the season and will play Two Harbors at home on Wednesday. Barnum falls to 7-7 on the season and they will play Hill City on Wednesday afternoon.
