The Barnum Bombers downed the Onamia Panthers Monday afternoon by the score of 11-1 in Barnum. The Bombers were coming off of an 8-5 loss to East Central last Friday. The Bombers had beaten East Central earlier in the season but fell to the Eagles on Friday.

“It was a nice win,” Dave Duesler reported to Northland Sports Online. “We came out hit the ball and played good defense…Hogan did a great job on the mound for us as he pitched the whole game,” Duesler would add. “Josh also hit a big home run for us that opened up the game.”

Josh Hogan hit a big three-run home run for the Bombers. Erik Johnson would go 2-4 with a run batted in. Kyle Duesler and Cody Hagenbeck would each drive in two runs for Barnum in the victory. Hogan pitched six innings, giving up one run on four hits and
striking out five Panther batters.

Barnum improves their season record to 7-6 overall and will travel to Esko on Tuesday. The Panthers fall to a record of 2-10 on the season and will take on Aitkin Thursday afternoon
in Aitkin.
