Esko Boys Fall To Denfeld-Central

The Duluth Central Trojans handed the Esko Eskomos only their second loss of the season as the Trojans downed Esko by a score of 77-53. A close contest at halftime saw Duluth Central open it up in the second half, outscoring Esko by 18 points to take the 24 point road win Tuesday night.


The Eskomos and Trojans had a close match up in the first half with Central holding on by six points at 33-27 at halftime. The second half saw the Trojans lit it up as the pulled away for the win. Both teams combined for sixteen three pointers on the night.


The Trojans were led by Jodeston Robinson who had 19 points including 3 three-pointers. C.J. Hamm ended with 15 points on the night, Andrew Laughlin added 13, Derek Meger punched in with 11, Jeff Ohaju added 6, and Rex Dopp 5, Sam Humes 4, Chad Bolen 4, and Sergi Hanka ended the Trojans scoring with 2.


The Eskomos were led by Jackson Lindquist, who pounded in 16 points including 4 three-pointers. Jake Stainbrook added 15, and Adam Eskuri finished with 13, with nine of those points coming on three-pointers. Marc Peterson rounded out the scoring for the Eskomos with nine points on the night and all 9 points came on three pointers.


The Eskomos fall to 13-2 on the season and they are back in action on Saturday when the will face Crosby-Ironton in Crosby. Duluth Central improves to 10-6 on the season and they will host Duluth Marshall on Thursday night at Duluth Central High School. These two teams will meet again in three weeks at Central.
