MLA Trounces Legacy Christian 6-1 On The Road

A huge shot advantage helped the Moose Lake Area Rebels come away with a 6-1 road win over Legacy Christian Academy on Thursday night in Blaine. The Rebels pounded 60 shots on the Saints goal and used a strong second and third period to come away with the win.

Tyler Cisar scored just 1:51 into the game for the Rebels with Zach Cisar assisting and the Rebels went ahead 1-0. Gordy Vitek evened the score at 1-1 at the 13:05 mark of the first period and despite a 15-10 shot advantage in the period the score was tied as the horn sounded.

The Rebels cranked things up in the second period and outshot the Saints 24-4 as well as outscoring them 2-0 in the period. At 9:16 Michael Gassert scored with Stephen and Chris Gassert assisting to make it 3-0. Josh Cisar pumped home a power play goal at the 13:12 point of the period with Tyler and Zach Cisar picking up assists to push the lead to 4-0.

In the third period the Rebels rifled 21 more shots on Saints goalie Nick Stolarczyk and they also scored three more times. At 4:10 it was Josh Cisar scoring unassisted, at 7:20 it was a goal by Jake Cisar with Tyler and Zach Cisar assisting and then at 8:32 it was Chris Gassert scoring from Reed Jubie.

For the game the Rebels outshot the Saints 60-20 and MLA was 1-for-6 on the power play, while LCA was 0-for-5 with a man advantage.
