Duluth Marshall Remains Unbeaten

The Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers remained unbeaten on the year, topping Rochester Lourdes on Friday night, 5-4.

Rochester Lourdes got onto the scoreboard first when Duell Buck scored from a Collin Williams assist at the 2:04 mark. Duluth Marshall would get on the scoreboard in the 1st period as well, scoring at the 13:54 mark when John McKenna scored with Joe Liberty and Lane Krenzen assisting.

Rochester Lourdes took the lead back at the 11:17 mark in the 2nd period when Tucker Chapman scored unassisted. Duluth Marshall’s Nathan Sepp would then rally off back to back goals to take the 3-2 lead, scoring at the 12:40 mark and 14:00 minute mark. Derek Farrell assisted on both goals. Rochester knotted it up at 3-3 at the 15:33 mark in the 3rd period, when Tucker Chapman scored his second goal on the night.

In the 3rd period, Jack Dodd powered the Hilltoppers, first scoring at 14:21 off a Joe Liberty and Nate Johnson assist, giving them the 4-3 lead. He would score just two minutes later, with Johnson assisting again, increasing the lead the 5-3. Chapman would get his hat trick for Rochester, scoring at the 16:26 mark to finalize the score at 5-4.

Duluth Marshall improves to 8-0 on the season and will be back in action on December 23rd when they play Benilde-St. Margarets at home.
