MLWR Dominates South Ridge

The Moose Lake Willow River Rebels traveled to take on the South Ridge Panthers on Friday night and they left with a victory, winning 91-49 in the Polar League matchup.

The Rebels got out to the monster lead at half, leading 63-24. They would go onto outscore the Panthers in the 2nd half 28-25, winning the game 91-49.

Leading the Rebels was Brad Fossum who scored 32 points, including 6 from beyond the arc. Rex Janke scored 14 and Charlie Adamczak followed with 13 of his own. Also scoring for the Rebels was Kody Gerard with 7, Hunter Halvorson and Jared Witlkowski with 6 each, Ikki Kinoshitu and Isaac Riihilouma each had 5, and Eric Pracher topped it off with 3.

For South Ridge, Kaleb Dallman and Trey Karppinen each had 9. Jake Carlson scored 8, Spencer Stroschein and Cole Watkins tallied 7, Christian Houle and Levi McGraw had 3 a piece, Dane McClelland had 2, and Connor Houle topped it off with 1.

MLWR improves to 5-3 on the season and will be back in action on Monday December 29th when they participate in the Crosby-Ironton Invite. They will open up against Fond du Lac Ojibwe at 6:15 PM. The South Ridge Panthers fall to 1-4 and will play North Woods on January 6th.
