Esko Gets 5-0 Win Over Proctor

Esko pitcher Kelsey Saralampi had a dominating performance and the Eskomos provided plenty of offense in their 5-0 win over Proctor on Monday night in Proctor.

Saralampi, a senior, allowed only one hit and fanned nine as the Eskomos shut out the Rails.

Offensively, the Eskomos got a big night from Farrah Wirtz who belted a 2-run homer in the fourth inning. Wirtz also added a pair of hits. Sarah Krocka and Kari Palmi also blasted a pair of hits for the winning Eskomos.

Katie Gilderman took the pitching loss for the Rails by giving up nine hits, while striking out five.

The Eskomos will return to Polar League Conference action tonight when they host the Barnum Bombers in Esko.
