Tyler Johnson Named Player of The Month

Former Cloquet-Esko-Carlton hockey star, Tyler Johnson, was named the Player of the Month for the month of December by the Hockey Commissioners Association for his play at Colorado College.

A senior forward, Johnson, leads the nation with nine power play goals, scored seven goals and had seven assists for a +6 rating during the month of December for the Tigers.

The recent success of Johnson has also been mirrored by the success of Colorado College which has won 9-of-12 games in recent times as well as the team’s last four wins in which Johnson has scored the game-winning goal.

At the midway point of the season Johnson has 14 goals and nine assists for 23 points which matches what he did in all of last season.

Tyler is a 2007 graduate of Cloquet High School and is the son of Mark and Toni Johnson of Cloquet.
