Esko Overpowers Virginia, Now 10-0 On the Season

The Esko Eskomos remained undefeated on the season as the Eskomos knocked off the Virginia Blue Devils 63-27 to win this section match-up at home Monday night. The win moves the Eskomos to 10-0 on the season. The win Eskomos are now 5-0 in conference play as well as 3-0 in sectional play so far this season.

Esko jumped out early to 41-14 first half lead and never looked back as the Eskomos rolled to the thirty-six point win at home. The Eskomos used a well balanced scoring attack as eleven Eskomos scored in the wining effort.

The Eskomos continued to use great defense, holding the Blue Devils to only 27 points on the night with no Virginia player scoring more than six points in the losing effort.

Esko was led by Savanna Trapp, who had 17 points on the night. She also contributed with 8 rebounds and 9 blocked shots. Keely Deadrick also was in double figures for the Eskomos with 17 points, Megan Reuer added 7, Lydia Pelletier contributed with 5 points, Alyson Glumac added 4 points.

The rest of the Eskomos scoring included Bailey Mudek and Marisa Shady who had 3 points each, Danielle Salo, Brooke Schramm, and Kallyn Knutson all scored 2 points and rounding out the Eskomos scoring was Steph Miller with 1 point.

The Eskomos are back in action again on Thursday night when they travel to McGregor to face the Mercuries in a Polar League battle. They will also travel to Proctor to face the Rails next Monday. Esko will then have two more road games before returning home on January 24th when they host Hermantown.
