The MLWR Rebels picked up their sixth straight win Thursday night as the Rebels defeated a hungry Two Harbors Agate squad by a score of 20-14 in Willow River.

David Mooned put the Rebels in front scoring on an 10 yard touchdown run to put the Rebels in front 6-0 after the failed conversion. Two Harbors took the lead in the second quarter with a one yard touchdown run by Taylor Ross and the extra point made it 7-6.

Wyatt Lampel scored on a 4 yard touchdown run later int he second quarter which gave the Rebels a 12-7 lead at the break. Bryceton Butkiewicz extended the Rebels lead to 20-7 when Butkiewicz scored on a one yard plunge, and he also added the two point conversion.

Lucas Kempffer scored a on a one yard touchdown run for the Agates to cut the lead to six and 20-14 but the Agates would get no closer as the Rebels picked up the home win.

The Rebels improve to 6-1 on the season and they will close out the regular season next Wednesday when they face Duluth Marshall at 4:00 pm at Marshall High School.

The Agates fall to 5-2 on the season and they will be home next week when they host Deer River.
