Volleyball action for Monday 10-6-14

The Virginia Blue Devils came from behind twice to top the Hermantown Hawks Monday night in Virginia. After dropping the 1st and 3rd matches of the set the Blue Devils bested the Hawks 15-8 in the final match of the set.

The Hibbing Bluejackets picked up a sectional win Monday in four matches Monday in Hibbing. The hunters lone win came in the second match of the set with a 25-22 win.

The Marshall Hilltoppers took down Silver Bay in 5 matches Monday night coming from behind to take the final two matches and pull away with a Polar League Conference victory.

The Mesabi East Giants handed the Cherry Tigers a sectional loss Monday night coming from behind and pick up the victory including a 18-16 win in the fifth match of the set. Emma Erie paced Mesabi East with 45 set assists, five kills and two blocks to lead the Giants.

Braham continued on with hot play Monday night as they swept East Central in three straight, the Bombers won 25-13, 25-11, and 25-8 in the final match to help the Bombers improve to 17-7 on the season.
