After starting out the season with a win against Northwestern, the Cloquet Lumberjacks schedule has seen the Jacks matched against some of the best teams Northern Minnesota has to offer. Tuesday the Jacks hosted a very solid Grand Rapids team and fell by a score of 65-48.

Earlier this early season Cloquet traveled to Duluth East, then hosted the Esko Eskomos just five days later, playing competitive basketball but losing both games. The tough early season schedule and stiff competition should serve the Jacks well as the season progresses.

Annabel Morrisroe led the Jacks with a great low post performance Tuesday, scoring 22 points against the Thunderhawks. Krista Schmitz added six points while running the offense and Felicia Hraban added four. Shania Paulson and Sarah McMillen scored three points each while five different Lumberjacks scored two points apiece.

The Jacks will hit the hard-court again on Friday when they host the Deer River Warriors.
