Denfeld -Agates Swimming Winners

Duluth Denfeld and Two Harbors both picked up dual meet victories on Thursday. Denfeld took down CEC, 94-82, while Two Harbors beat Proctor-Hermantown 56-38.

Duluth Denfeld’s team of Erin Rudd, Katie Rudd, Skylar Wolfe, and Kylie Shea won the 200 yard medley relay, with a time of 2:07. Kayla Nelson would win the 200 freestyle for Denfeld, and Wolfe would grab another victory by winning the 200 individual medley. Makayla Suominen got the first victory for CEC by winning the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.60 seconds. Denfeld bounced back as Shelby Johnson won the 1-meter diving. CEC’s Faith Carlson won the 100 butterfly with a 1:20 time. Suominen won her swim of the night, winning the 100 freestyle. Nelson grabbed her second win for Denfeld on the evening, taking the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:24. In the 200 freestyle relay, the CEC team of Faith Carlton, Makayla Suominen, Rachel Gorski, and Lexus Wysocki won with a time of 1:49. Aly Granholm won for CEC in the 100 backstroke, Rudd won the 100 breastroke for Denfeld, and the CEC team of Carlson, Suominen, Gorski, and Wysocki won the 400 freestyle relay.

In Two Harbors victory, the team of McDonald, Fynboh, Haaversen, and Schreiner got them off on the right start, winning the 160 medley relay with a time of 1:37. In the 60 freestyle, Nikki Stern won for Proctor-Hermantown. Allie Mayfield won the 100 freestyle for Two Harbors with a time of 58.77 seconds. P-H responded when Megan Mensinger won the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. P-H continued their streak by winning the 160 freestyle relay with the team of Hanson, Dahlen, Stern, and Mensinger finishing in 1:25. Two Harbors bounced back grabbing the 400 freestyle relay in 4:01 with the team of Boulanger, McDonald, Fynboh, and Mayfield. Mara Boulanger won the 160 individual medley for Two Harbors, Julia McDonald won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:10 for Two Harbors, Leanna Fynboh won the 100 breastroke, and Boulanger capped off the night by winning the 100 butterfly for Two Harbors.
