East -Proctor-Panthers CC Winners

The Hibbing Rotary Cross Country Invitational was held Thursday in Hibbing at the Hibbing Municipal Golf Course. The Invitational saw the Duluth East Greyhounds, Proctor Rails, and South Ridge Panthers as winners.

Duluth East won the Class AA for teams in both boys and girls. Keaton Long won the 5k race with a time of 16:20 for East. Cloquet’s Isaac Boedigheimer finned in 2nd with a 16:29 time, and Hermantowns Ryan Kero placed 3rd with a time of 16:55.

In the girls individuals, Phoebe Koski of Duluth East placed 2nd with a time of 15:09, Cloquet’s Anja Maijala placed 3rd, finishing in 15:24, and Duluth East’s Kelly Canavan and Molly Weberg placed 4th and 5th respectively.

In the Class A meet, the Proctor Rails won the boys team and the South Ridge Panthers won the girls.

For the boys, Proctor placed 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Jacob Welch finished in 17:17 to take 3rd place, Kody Stevens placed 4th, and Garrett Sargent placed 5th.

Hannah Bettendorf placed 3rd place for Proctor in the girls individuals, finishing in 15:13. Teammate, Annika Voss finished in 15:26 for 4th place, and South Ridges Gracelynn Otis placed 5th with a 15:48 time.
