Greyhounds pound Thunderhawks

The Duluth East Greyhounds picked up their fifth straight win in their last eight days as the Greyhounds shut-out the Thunderhawks by a score of 7-0 at Ordean Field Thursday afternoon.

Emma Spooner led the onslaught for the Greyhounds as she scored three goals and added one assist in the seven goal victory.

The Greyhounds scored five times in the first half and added two more goals in the second half for the win. Anna Rauzi scored their first goal of the match and the last goal of the first half, she also  added two assists on the day. Katie Johnson and Sam Fredrickson scored the other Greyhounds goals.

Roni Rudolph stopped one shot in the shut out victory for Duluth East, while Emerald Sundy had 7 saves for Grand Rapids.

The Greyhounds move to 5-7-1 and they will face Two Harbors next Monday in Two Harbors. The Thunderhawks fall to 1-9-1 and they will play at Public School Stadium next Thursday when the face the Denfeld Hunters.
