Rails Thunderhawks play to Tie

The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks and the Proctor Rails played to a scoreless tie Thursday afternoon in Proctor as these two teams met in a sectional contest.

Each team had several scoring opportunities but were unable to capitalize when the chances arose.

The Proctor Rails put 13 shots on Thunderhawks goalie Joseph Burt, while Grand Rapids had nine shots on goal and it was Michael Petoletti stopping all of the 9 shots he faced on the afternoon.

The Proctor Rails with the tie saw their record go to 3-7-1 and the Rails will play at Hermantown Monday afternoon in a conference and a sectional match up.

The Thunderhawks are now 3-7-3 overall and they will host the Moorehead Spuds Saturday afternoon in Grand Rapids.
