ESKO – Through the years the Esko girls basketball program has always prided itself in their ability to hit key free throws in pressure situations. On Thursday night the Eskomos converted on eight of their overtime free throws which parlayed itself into a one-point win for Esko, 59-58, over Floodwood in Esko.

The Eskomos held a three point 27-24 halftime lead, but the Polar Bears, who were playing in their third game, reversed that trend in the second half. Alyssa Autio led the Polar Bear attack with 23 points while Molli Durovec added 13 and Maija Rauvola finished with 12 points.

Keely Deadrick carried the hot hand for the Eskomos with 23 points and Savanna Trapp chipped in with 13 points.

Joining Deadrick and Trapp in the scoring column for Esko were; Lydia Pelletier with 9-points, Marisa Shady 8-points, Megan Reuer 4-points and Alyson Glumac added 2-points.

Also scoring for Floodwood were; Molly Johnsen 3-points, Shawn Behrendt 4-points and Haley Clark 3-points.
