The Barnum Bombers used the long ball on Thursday afternoon as the Rebels downed the Bombers in this Polar League match-up by a score of 12-6. The Rebels continued with their good play early this season.

The Bombers hosting this contest would come up on the short end, as the Rebels of Moose Lake Willow River did not give in as they continued to pound away with the Rebels winning this one by six runs.

“We played a good game,” Head Coach Dave Duesler told Northland Sports Online. “The Rebels hit the ball well today.” Duesler stated. “The game was tied at 5-5 when Josh Hogan was robbed of a Home Run by a great play of Moose Lake,” Duesler mentioned. For the Rebels, Dan Anderson’s two home runs led the way in the Rebel victory.

Anderson’s two home runs along with Nate Zuk’s home run led the Rebels in the six-run victory. Moose Lake – Willow River improves to 8-2 on the season, as they get ready for a three game tournament in Hinckley on Friday and Saturday. Barnum falls to 4-5 on the season.
