Hunters over Rails

The Duluth Denfeld Hunters had a slow start, but rebounded to come back and beat the Proctor Rails 3-1 last night at home.

Sophomore Lauren Huchel led the Hunters with 8 kills, Junior Ashley Taipale added 6 kills, 9 digs, and 5 ace serves.  Junior Taylor Johnson had 21 set assists on the night and added 9 digs as well.

Maddy White led the Hunters defensively with an impressive 17 Digs.

Proctor’s Senior Krista Mottonen had 13 digs on the night, and Senior Katy Anderson added 10.

The Rails will travel to Duluth Marshall tomorrow night (September 11) and take on the Hilltoppers. Game time is 7 PM.

The Hunters improve their record to 3-5 and will travel to Superior to take on the Spartans tomorrow night at 7 PM.
