The best season in school history is over for the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College women’s softball team, but the awards keep rolling in for players on the team.

On Thursday it was announced that Stacie Miller was named First Team All-State, Natosha Rohloff was named Second Team All-State and to the First Team All-Northern Division Team in the MCAC. Infielder Steph Saylor of Wrenshall, Minnesota, was selected Second Team All-Northern Division Team in the MCAC.

Miller led the nation in hitting for the second season in a row with a lofty .617 batting average, with 61 RBIs, 43 runs scored, 19 doubles, two home runs and two triples. As a sophomore catcher, Miller also threw out 12-of-18 base stealers on the season and is a 2-year captain of the Thunder.

This is the second consecutive year Miller has been named First Team All-State. Miller was also one of nine players selected to the First Team All-Northern Division Team in the conference.

“What can you say about Miller,” said coach Kerry Rodd. “She helped build this program from the start and to say she will be missed is an understatement. She has tremendous power, but she hits for a high average and she can play her position with the best.”

Rohloff, a sophomore transfer from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, batted .459 with 54 RBIs, three homeruns, five triples and nine doubles. In Addition, Rohloff was in the top 10 in hitting for the MCAC. As the clean up hitter in a powerful line up Rohloff also was steady with the glove and finished with a .960 fielding average.

“Rohloff was a great addition to the team this year,” commented Rodd. “She really helped in every aspect of the game and was a great team leader as well.”
