The Carlton Bulldogs continued their busy stretch of games as they down the Cromwell Cardinals by a score of 10-0 on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs have now won 5 of their last six games and have played really good baseball over that stretch.

Adam Schmitz was the winning pitcher for the Bulldogs. He pitched five innings, gave up no runs, five hits, struck out eight and walked one Cromwell batter. “Adam pitched a great game,” head coach Scott Battaglia told Northland Sports Online. “Adam did a nice job, threw a lot of strikes,” Battaglia stated.

Caleb Hatfield was 2-3, with a triple and two runs batted in. Joey Broneak had another great game at the plate as he was 2-3 on Tuesday. Ben Rapp was also 2-3 with a double and a two run homer. He also had three runs batted in. Spencer Thorman also finished 2-3 on Tuesday afternoon. Nick Gucinski was 2-3 for one of the bright spots for the very young Cromwell Cardinals.

The Carlton Bulldogs improve their record to 9-5 on the season and will face Silver Bay on Thursday at home. Game time is 4:30 pm at Chub Lake Park. The Cromwell Cardinals fall to 1-12 on the season,
