It was a much needed win for the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton tennis team on Wednesday. The Jacks were playing in their final Lake Superior Conference match of the year and they came away with an impressive 4-3 victory over Duluth Marshall. CEC swept all the doubles matches and parlayed a win at #2 singles to propel them to the win.

The lone win for CEC in singles came from Savanna Ellena at #2 singles. Ellena downed Maddy Carpenter 6-1, 6-3.

Doubles action saw CEC capture the #1 position with a 4-6, 6-1, 11-9 win from Kalie Shevich and Asha Fritsinger. At #2 doubles it was Lizz Jezierski and Stephanie Campbell taking a 6-2, 6-2 win over their opponents. CEC then swept the doubles by taking the #3 position 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 with Alyssa Acheson and Breanne Baker providing the winning combination.
