The Cloquet Lumberjacks picked up a big Lake Superior Conference win in girls soccer on Saturday when they downed Proctor 2-0.

The Jacks took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute when Carley Esse found Emily Rikkola for a goal. It would be the only goal the Jacks would need as Kenzie Rathe provided shutout goaltending by making saves on all 11 shots.

In the second half the Jacks notched their second goal of the game when Kelsey Anderson converted a pass from Esse to make it 2-0.

Cloquet put seven shots on Rails goalkeeper, Kassie Haedtke who made five saves.
