Hawks Shutout Bluejackets

The defending section 7AA champion Hermantown Hawks opened their playoffs

with a 11-0 victory over the Hibbing Bluejackets Tuesday afternoon at Braun Park in

Cloquet.

Kylie Hoff pitched five strong innings allowing only 4 hits while striking out seven

Buejackets in the win as the Hawks improve to 15-5 on the season. Hoff helped her

own cause going 2-3 from the plate including a double and 4 RBI’s.

Jordyn Thomas went 2-3 with a double and a RBI, while Tess Johnson was also 2-3

and Brooke Dahlin drove in three runs in the Hermantown win.

The Hawks advance to the section 7AA double elimination tournament in Cohasset

beginning Thursday afternoon where they will face the Esko Eskomos beginning at

Noon.
