Lady Jacks Open with Win

Kaylee McMillen pitched a complete game two hitter as the Lumberjacks opened

section 7AA girls softball action with a 10-0 shutout victory over the Aitkin Gobblers.

McMillen allowed only two hits in the win while striking out 8 Gobblers and only

allowing 1 bases on balls.

Offensively the Lumberjacks were led by Katrina Smith who was 3-4 with 3 runs

scored and a double. Sammy Zeadow, Kassidy Steen, and MaKayla Langenbrunner

all added two hits for the Jacks.

With the victory Cloquet improves to 11-4 overall and advances to the sectional

double elimination tournament beginning Thursday in Cohasset.

The Gobblers finish the season with a record of 7-7 overall.
