Hermantown Gets Road Win Over ML-WR

The Hermantown and Moose Lake-Willow River volleyball programs have long and storied traditions. Both programs have made numerous trips to state tournaments and both have posted many big wins. On Tuesday night the Hawks, playing on the road, downed the Rebels 3-1.

ML-WR took the first game of the match 25-19, but the Hawks bounced back and overpowered the Rebels 25-11 in game two and then settled in for back-to-back 25-18 and 25-22 wins in games three and four.

Katie Thun and Stephanie Kallberg led the Hawks with 12 and 11 kills respectively, while Andrea Enockson ran the offense with 35-set assists.

Sheenagh Caroline led ML-WR with 10 kills and 24 digs, while Emily Wasche added nine kills, Maddie Adamczak finished with eight kills, 21 set assists and 16 digs and Hayley Johnson was strong in the back row with 21 digs.
